Jose Rocha brings more than thirty years of oil, gas, and power industry experience to his role as Director of Sales for Infinity Power Partners. His time at firms like Gulf Oil, Chevron, Dynegy, and GDF Suez brings to Infinity proven know-how in structuring complex deals, contract negotiation, and risk management.
Prior to joining Infinity, his most recent responsibility was in Chevron’s Downstream Business Development group, to pursue power development projects and related fuel supply alternatives into Latin America. Prior to that, he worked in Chevron’s US natural gas marketing group, executing strategic sales plans in the Southeast Region.
While Vice President of Retail Sales at GDF Suez Energy Services, now Engie, Rocha helped develop the power marketing strategy during the electric deregulation period and oversaw power sales channels to municipal, industrial, and commercial customers across the U.S.
At Dynegy, Rocha served as Sr. Director, Gas and Power Marketing before becoming Vice President of Retail Sales. During his tenure, he managed a staff of 30 sales, marketing, pricing, and analytics personnel that led Dynegy’s entrance into the retail business.
After earning a B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University in 1978, Rocha began his career as an analyst at Gulf Oil Corporation in their management training program. His initial engagement consisted of hands-on training in the various accounting functions performed at the Field, Area, Division, and Headquarter organizations levels within Gulf Oil. Soon Rocha was promoted to various management positions in the finance and production accounting departments.
